Caprivi

The Caprivi is Namibia’s own little paradise. Not only is it bordered by the Okavango, Kwando, Chobe and Zambezi rivers but also borders Namibia with 4 other countries – Angola, Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The Caprivi is rich in wildlife and mineral resources, with abundance in hippo, crocodiles, buffalo and elephant this is a great place to see these animals enjoying the wetlands. The lush vegetation, ranging from savannah to swamps is filled with over 400 bird species recorded and the region boasts some of the rarest birds in Africa, including the Pel’s Fishing Owl, breeding Carmine Bee-eaters and Shelly’s Sunbird, Kingfishers, Canes and Fish Eagles. The Caprivi has nearly 200 kinds of flora, shrubs, trees and fruits.
